What Can We Do to Make Pixelodeon Better?

We want to hear from as many people as possible. If you create video, if you like to watch video, if you work in film or television, leave a note and let us know what we can do to make this a kick-ass event. Try to suggest specific ideas. Very general suggestions are hard to act upon.

  1. Collaboration opportunities
  2. Interview areas
  3. Massive wifi everywhere, lots of extension cords, make it very live vloggable
  4. Get Diggnation (ok, maybe too nerdy) or some popular shows to do their live episode there. Get visible vloggers & content producers to participate and promote now. Shoot scenes of a more narrative video show and allow people to watch (like live studio audience style).
  5. festival interactivity aside from panels
  6. The festival emphasizes moving from the 'computer screen to the big screen'. Is there any way to encourage movement in the reverse direction? Spotlighting a filmmaker who has made the move? Or showing a demo of what opportunities are possible for "real" old school filmmakers (David Lynch?)
  7. Invited agents like ITA and CAA to "discover" our talents and connect with us.
  8. Invited old and new media organizations to write about the event. Perhaps an open web-based invitation to new media and direct to source invitations to mainstream media. Often new media events don't bother to invite the mainstream, and we miss out on press because of it.
  9. A http://twitter.com/pixelodeon character that will:
    1. Answer questions
    2. Give tips (housing, places to eat)
    3. Inform on events starting
    4. etc.
  10.  Invite the aggregators so we can develop some agreements about re-distributing creators' feed
  11. SAG and AFTRA people to head off a potential conflict regarding "carded" actors perfomring on videoblogs (like Justin at Something to be Desired is just now facing)
